How can the City redesign procurement intake to boost efficiency, clarity, and collaboration across City departments?
Project Description: Procurement plays a behind-the-scenes role in how the City of Hamilton sources and purchases the items and services that support the municipality’s operations and infrastructure. The City is reviewing ways to improve the procurement intake process to increase efficiency, reduce delays and enhance communication. Through this challenge, the project team shall help design a centralized, web-based procurement intake form to improve transparency and coordination across departments. This project calls for creative problem-solving, user-centered design, and cross-functional collaboration. Students will co-create solutions with staff that address real-world operational needs.
