Walking School Bus Pilot
How can we develop and possibly pilot a sustainable walking school bus model?
Project Description: Today more than ever, students are being driven to school when many could be walking, cycling or rolling there. This is creating enormous traffic issues around schools, not to mention increased levels of pollution, less physical activity for students, and many other negative impacts. Walking school buses have been piloted across North America but often fail without sustainable funding or partners. This challenge will be to engage stakeholders across the City to come up with a sustainable pilot.
